At the Indiana Northeast Region Soils competition, Senior Team 1 placed 13th overall as a team. Martin places 27th, Green 41st, Yoder 61st, and Mast 89th. Westview students worked hard throughout the season to develop their soil evaluation skills. These competitions challenge them to identify soil properties, classify soil types, and make land-use recommendations, which are all valuable skills for future careers in agriculture.
