Purdue Awards 22 Scholarships

The Purdue University Department of Animal Sciences awarded $96,300 in scholarships to current students for the 2026–27 academic year. These scholarships recognize and support students as they continue their education and pursue their goals in animal sciences.
This support is made possible through the generosity of donors who invest in the success of Animal Sciences students and help provide opportunities for the next generation of leaders in the field.
Scholarship recipients for the 2026–27 academic year include:
• Robert W. Baltzell Scholarship—Charlie Cummings, Alexis Shaw, Dylan McDaniel and Cora Hader
• Baumgardt Family Scholarship—Allison Giganti and Madalyn Denton
• Book-Harmon Leadership Scholarship—Antony Lugo
• Blaine Crowl Memorial Scholarship—Brynn Smith and Gabrielle Deakins
• Howard L. Daugherty Memorial Scholarship—Addison Oelke and Katelyn Callahan
• John Henry Hinkle Memorial Scholarship—Emma Hope, Makenzie Eagle, Aspen Hall, Avery Donaldson and Regina Hoefer
• R. L. Hogue Award—Jill Brubaker
• Indiana State Poultry Assn. Scholarship—Paige Clott and Neely Brown
• Emerson J. Kuhn Scholarship—Kaya Arnold and Andrew Bunner
• Madia Family Scholarship—Brooklyn Burdick
• Thrasher Family Scholarship—Claire Barsness, Allison Downey, Lola Allen and Kalen Moe
