The 2026 Fulton County Historical Power Show kicked off last Friday in Rochester, complete with tractor pulls, compressor tests, and rows and rows of antique tractors.
All colors were welcome at the three-day event, and representation was found for several Farmall, John Deere, Minneapolis Moline, IH, Allis Chalmers and Massey Ferguson, among others.
Also featured at the show were several steam engine tractors. Izzy Sterrett, 12, of Battle Ground was running several steam engines, including one quarter scale toy, which her father, Chad, purchased earlier this year. Chad and Izzy's brother, Owen, got the engine working, and brought it to its first show in 20 years. Izzy said the engine pops off at 135 psi.
Carl Overmeyer, president of the Fulton County Historical Power Assn., said the turnout has improved over last year, with several more tractors and a larger crowd. This year featured an electric train ride for children, the annual tractor pulls and free admission.
