Highley, INFB 2nd V.P. from Warren, Dies at 57

Janis E. (Zeller) Highley, second vice president of Indiana Farm Bureau from Warren, died May 19. She was 57.
Highly was elected as INFB's second vice president in December 2023. Prior to that, she served on the Huntington County Farm Bureau board of directors and was the District 4 Education and Outreach coordinator for INFB. She also worked at Salamonie Mills, Weaver Popcorn, Strategic Grain Hedge and served with the Indiana Corn Marketing Council.
She was born June 16, 1968 in Huntington. She graduated from Huntington North High School and later earned a degree in business management at Huntington University. She married Larry Highley in April 1988 and recently celebrated 38 years of marriage. They lived on a centennial farm.
She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Vicki Zeller and Claudia Boxell; two sons, Aaron and Brian; and two grandsons, Eli and Aiden Highley.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Farm Bureau Foundation in the name of "Janis E. Highley" to support Young Farms & Ag Professionals programming or the Women's Leadership Committee programs.
Celebration of Life is scheduled for June 20 at the First Christian Church of Warren from 2-4 p.m.
