2026 4-H Invention Convention Returns

Published: Friday, January 9, 2026

The 2026 Indiana 4-H Invention Convention Statewide Competition is back on March 14, at the Indiana State Museum. This is a chance for youths to showcase their most groundbreaking ideas and inventions.

Interested youths should identify a problem in their community that needs solving, design an inventive solution at home or school, build a working prototype and present the project at the 2026 Indiana 4-H Invention Convention Competition to judges, peers and fellow innovators.

Competitors can earn exciting awards and recognition, gain opportunities to advance to the RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Mich., and connect with other creative minds and celebrate the power of youth innovation.

This is not just a science fair. It is a launchpad for the next generation of changemakers. Whether designing eco-friendly solutions, experimenting with artificial intelligence, or dreaming up the next tech breakthrough, Indiana 4-H Invention Convention is where 4-H'ers' imaginations meets impact.

Register to compete via 4-H Online.
