Sweet Potato Dumplings

1 can crescent rolls
½ (32 oz.) bag of frozen yams
1½ sticks butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch
Cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°. Roll out the crescent rolls. Slice each one in two, lengthwise. Cut each yam into 2 pieces, then roll one piece in each crescent roll piece. Place in a 913 buttered pan.
In a small pan, mix together the butter, sugar, and milk. On low heat, bring to a boil. Add cornstarch and stir. Pour mixture over the yam dumplings then sprinkle cinnamon over the dumplings. Bake for 40 minutes.
